Charlie's CARE

How BluSynergy helped Animal NGO Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre

NGO Profile:
Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre – CARE was started by a group of animal lovers who felt that Bangalore city was in dire need of an animal shelter where stray and abandoned animals could be housed, given timely medical aid, rehabilitated and re-homed. The inspiration behind the Trust is Charlie. Charlie is a 10 year old, 3 legged Indian therapy dog that has been doing amazing work with specially-abled children in the field of Animal Assisted Therapy since 2005.

Before BluSynergy:
As with any other NGO, Charlie’s-care used offline modes – cash and cheques/DD – to raise donations. They were missing a plan based collection of funds making it extremely difficult to track, reconcile or appropriate their donations in an effective manner. Needless to say their reporting was not accurate and did not contribute to efficient financial decision making. Donor information collection was sketchy, resulting in poor record keeping and tax management. Low social media visibility and the inability to accept donations online affected their monthly donation numbers.

After BluSynergy:
BluSynergy, through its hassle – free online fund raising platform has helped Charlie’s- Care to set up Causes for one time and recurring donations. These causes are very flexible in terms of the amount of donation and the number of donations. Every donor now receives an acknowledgement receipt to their registered e-mail address. BluSynergy’s payment gateway integration’s enables online donation collections from all across the world. This has increased their reach, encouraging donors to contribute easily and regularly, via their website. Their donation campaigns and fund raisers are supported and promoted massively on the various social media platforms, helping them reach their fund raising goals in half the time.
